I am grateful for God's love and grace that saved and transformed me.
My name is Christy and I am grateful to share my testimony of faith and why I decided to get baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ.
Ever since I was a kid, my mom and grandma taught me to pray to God every night before I go to sleep and I have continued this practice since my childhood. Although I occasionally went to church with them, I did not know much about God and did not understand why I had to trust in Him. It was not until I graduated and entered adulthood, where I met my husband at work, and my sister-in-law introduced us to flow church, that we started to attend church regularly. Then, I began seriously worshipping God to express my gratitude for all the blessings in life and learning about God and His word, which made my faith become real and personal to me. I recognized that everything I have is a gift from God, and that I am dependent on Him for my existence and protection. I also started to have a better understanding of God’s plan for my life and connect with Him on a deeper level where I feel peace, joy and fulfilment.
As I continued to walk with God, I experienced many blessings that strengthened my faith and trust in Him. For example, I have loving parents and sisters who are always there for me, and I am married to my husband who shares my faith and values. I also became pregnant, and it has been an incredible journey. I am filled with excitement and joy as I prepare to welcome my daughter into the world, and I have learned to appreciate the gift of life and family even more. Being pregnant has also deepened my faith and trust in God. It has made me more aware of His power and love, and how much I rely on Him for strength and guidance. Life is full of ups and downs and I have found that with Christ, I have learned to have hope even in the midst of difficult circumstances.
Baptism is a public declaration of my faith in Jesus Christ and my commitment to follow Him as my Lord and Savior. It is an act of obedience and worship that symbolizes my death to sin and my resurrection to new life in Christ. It is also a sign of my membership in the body of Christ and my identification with His death, burial, and resurrection. I decided to get baptized because I wanted to obey God's command to be baptized and to show my gratitude and love for Him. I want to continue my journey with God and proclaim my commitment to follow Him to the world.
I am grateful for God's love and grace that saved and transformed me. I am thankful for my family, friends, and church who supported me along the way. I know that God has great plans for us and I am excited about my future as a baptized Christian who loves and serves God and others. I will start using my time, talents, and resources for God’s glory and to serve others, rather than for my own glory or pleasure. I pray that my testimony will encourage others to seek out the love and grace of Jesus and to follow Him with all their heart. Thank you for taking the time to read my testimony. May God bless you and guide you on your journey of faith.
